Shanghai Electric Corporation (SEC) has purchased one of the oldest & largest Japanese machine tool builders, IKEGAI Machinery.

The ‘General Electric’ of China, SEC will sell IKEGAI machines to US customers through their American headquarters, Ecotech Machinery, Inc. With nearly 3000 IKEGAI installations in the United States, Ecotech will begin supplying existing customers with service parts and technical support in the very near future.

The 35,000 sq ft office complex and warehouse facilities are located in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. Ecotech is actively seeking US distributors for exclusive areas of geographic responsibility in the American machine tool market.
